The Beazley field batting cage and shed are showing significant wear and tear with use over time.
The cage is located on HRM land but HRM has advised DDMBA it is to manage the booking and maintain the cage.
Grant funds have been sought from various levels of government to assist obtain financing to rejuvenate the cage via re-netting and installation of a permanent shed.
In order to maintain the cage moving forward DDMBA will be charging a fee for use of the cage effective immediately.
For all DDMBA teams [including Arrows] the rental will be $10 an hour and for all outside person or group bookings $20 an hour.
Outside group users of the batting cage have to be in good standing with HRM to be able to book the cage.
Funds may be e-transferred to finance@ddmba.net when each booking is made.
In the email please state "Beazley batting cage, date/time used, and group ID" so the funds can be tracked and used for the maintenance fund moving forward.
